first post of many! still sitting here wondering why things and life can be so cruel.

take my brother for instance, the poor bugger has PTSD. 5 years ago he was a happy healthy normal semi adult. then things happened, he hated being at home. earthquakes turned him into a shell of the person he used to be, scared frail and just not him. This april was the last straw for him and his girlfirend, they couldnt take it any more so packed up and moved to the bottom of the south island!

seems he thought all will be ok down there. till friday, he was getting better, off the medication that was prescribed up here for him loving life, then all it took was one person in the waiting room at the doctors to say that word and he was a mess, that 24 year old strong willed man was now broken a crying mess at the doctors surgery.

why can the human mind do this to someone? i can tell you that it has well and truely screwed me over of late too, i cant go up in the hills still and this is years after the fact.
